United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley celebrated their fourth annual Stuff The Bus initiative, a summer-long school supply drive for local children in need.
United Way’s goal this year was to fill as many backpacks as possible with school supplies. Last year, we filled 4,620 backpacks.
Sponsors, Partners, and Volunteers – YOU did it!
5,226 backpacks were filled with school supplies this year!
United Way staff and Stuff The Bus sponsors delivered backpacks to 33 Title I schools. The schools distributed the backpacks to students with the greatest need.
“Thanks to the generosity of our community members, 5,226 children in need will have the tools they need to succeed. United Way sends a huge thank you to all the donors and volunteers. Once again, you made Stuff The Bus a success. Not only are the backpacks filled with supplies, they’re filled with love, care and hope that each child will have a successful year.” – Scott Ferguson, President & CEO of United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley
Without the help of our sponsors, partners and volunteers, Stuff The Bus would not have been possible. Because of them, 5,226 children were confident, happy, and proud walking into the classroom on the first day of school.
